Dolphins River Caravan Park - Charmouth Dorset
on the Jurassic Coast

Eating out: This part of Dorset is currently in Tier 2 (even though we have less than 50 cases per 100,000) so pubs and bars may not provide alcohol for consumption on the premises, unless with a substantial meal, so they are operating as a restaurant. They may remain open for take-away service. Other hospitality businesses including cafes and restaurants can only serve alcohol with substantial meals. If they are a business which serves alcohol for consumption on the premises, they must be table service only.

Several pubs are still doing take-aways as an additional service. Great for when you don't feel like cooking. Worth trying is The New Inn at Kilmington - only 12 minutes or so from Dolphins. All local produce. Their Sunday roast is a real bargain at 8 (or 10 with a home-made dessert). The most incredible tender meats. Apparently from the butchers in Colyton (Anton's).

In this part of the world you are spoilt for choice with places to eat out. The Harbour Inn at Axmouth is another recommended pub with excellent meals.
